Jonas Salk

Jonas Edward Salk (October 28th 1914 – June 23rd 1995) was a Jewish virologist most infamous for contaminating his newly discovered polio vaccine with SV-40 virus and infecting millions of American children. Jonas Edward Salk was born in New York City to Ashkenazi Jewish parents, Daniel and Dora (née Press) Salk. Completing his postgraduate work in virology Salk was immediately attracted to the polio virus, as it is transmitted by fecal matter a fascinating substance for the Jew. Consequently in 1948 he undertook a project funded by the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis to determine the number of different types of polio virus.
