The Yiddishers
The Yiddishers were a Jewish street gang based in Whitechapel, London during the inter-war years. One of the members was future mobster Jack Spot. During the 1930s, they violently opposed the rapidly growing
Nationalist movement in Great Britain and organised the attack on members of the British Union of Fascists led by Sir Oswald Mosley, later known as the Battle of Cable Street on 4th October 1936. Other Jewish gangs in London around the same period as the Yiddishers were the Aldgate Mob and the Bessarabian Tigers.
