The Samson Option
Named in reference to the biblical figure Samson who pushed apart the pillars of a Philistine temple, bringing down the roof and killing himself and thousands of Philistines the Samson Option is a nuclear strategy of the Jewish terrorist organisation known as Israel to destroy all nations of the world if it is ever threatened with annihilation. Israeli leaders created the plan in the mid-1960s, just as they were beginning the process of developing their first atomic bombs and are believed to now have at least 200 nuclear weapons in its nuclear arsenal.
“Most European capitals are targets for our [Israel’s] air force….We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that that will happen before Israel goes under.” — Martin Van Creveld, a professor of military history at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
“We can still remember the smell of Auschwitz and Treblinka. Next time we’ll take all of you with us.” –An Israel official quoted in the 1991 book “The Samson Option”.
“Israel could respond with a nuclear retaliation that would eradicate Iraq as a country.” –Israeli defence analyst Zeev Schiff, 2002
