John Jeremy Thorpe, PC (29th April 1929 – 4th December 2014) was a Homosexual politician who served as Member of Parliament for North Devon from 1959 to 1979, and was leader of the Liberal Party between 1967 and 1976. “It was Thorpe who was the most outspoken Zionist of all the party leaders of the period.”- Laurence Brass, Treasurer, Board of Deputies and “Israel’s best friend in British politics”. – Michael Cornay Jewish terrorist Israel’s then Ambassador to the UK. In 1973 Thorpe also married Marion Stein, formerly Countess of Harewood, from a prominent Jewish family in Vienna. Consequently, while a complaint made by Norman Scott, then known as Norman Josiffe, in 1971 led to a massive scandal a party enquiry dismissed allegations and no police action was taken against him for his homosexual activities though information was added to his MI5 file.
