Manuel Carlos Valls (born 13 August 1962) is a French Socialist Party politician. Born to a Spanish father and a Swiss mother, he has been the Prime Minister of France since 31 March 2014. He is a member of the Socialist Party and is regarded as belonging to the Party’s social liberal wing, sharing common orientations with Scandinavian-style Social Democracy. He is regularly classified as being in the “right wing” of the Socialist Party, with a similar approach to the German, Dutch and Scandinavian Social Democratic Parties. Manuel Valls has an “eternal bond” through his wife, violinist Anne Gravoin with “the Jewish community and Israel“. During the 2011 presidential primary, he defined himself as “Blairiste” or “Clintonien”, and described his position as in the tradition of Lionel Jospin, Michel Rocard and Pierre Mendes France who actively welcomed and encouraged the near Communist takeover of France of May 1968 by The Jewish pedophile Daniel Cohn-Bendit.
